Collection: Chester Brown

Chester Brown was born in Montreal in 1960. He is the author of seven books and is best known for the non-fiction graphic novels Louis Riel: A Comic-Strip Biography (2003) and Paying for It: A Comic-Strip Memoir About Being a John (2011). In 2024, Brown created a Louis Riel stamp for Canada Post as part of a set honouring Canadian cartoonists. 2024 also saw the debut of the film adaptation of Paying For It at the Toronto International Film Festival. Brown lives in Toronto.
