Collection: Jillian Tamaki

Jillian Tamaki has been a professional artist since 2003, when she graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design. Jillian has worked on lots of different stuff: comics, picture books, editorial illustration, teaching (SVA and Parsons in NYC), even storyboarding for the TV show Adventure Time.

With her cousin ,Mariko Tamaki, Jillian is the co-creator of the YA graphic novels SKIM and This One Summer, which won a Governor General’s Award and Caldecott Honor. Jillian is also the author of SuperMutant Magic Academy, a book which collects theirc webcomic about weird mutant emo kids (including a recently announced tv adaptation coming from Adult Swim) and Boundless, a collection of short comic stories for adults. Jillian's latest book is Roaming, co-created with Mariko, published in Fall 2023 by Drawn & Quarterly.
